Frequently Asked Questions about Balloons

How much are your balloons?

Latex Balloons with High Float start at $1.99.  Bouquets have a minimum of 3 Latex balloons.  All of our Mylars are priced based on size and patterns.

What sizes and types of balloons do you carry?

The general types of balloons we carry are Latex, Mylar Foil, Bubbles, Orbz, and Numbers.  All are available in a variety of sizes and colors.

Why are balloons from the Party Loft better than balloons from the discount store?

The staff at Party Loft are balloon professionals! We have had extensive training in the inflation, care, and arranging of balloons. Other factors such as the quality of our balloons to the way they are stored, being inflated and sized correctly all affect the overall look of your arrangement. Our staff takes great care in helping you choose from our extensive selection of colors, then we coordinate and perfectly curl the ribbons as the balloons are arranged in the most eye-pleasing manner. There truly is an art to balloon decor and arrangements, you can trust the professionals at Party Loft to achieve the best results.

As a standard practice, all of our helium-filled latex balloons are treated with Ultra Hi-Float to extend the life of your balloons. It is a liquid solution that dries inside latex helium-filled balloons to form a coating that helps hold in the helium. Latex helium balloons can float up to 25 times longer when treated with Hi-Float..an untreated latex balloon will only float for 12-24 hours. Hi-Float is safe, nontoxic, water soluble and biodegradable

How far in advance should I order my balloons?

You may place your balloon order at any time and we will have it ready to pick-up on the date and time you choose.  Ordering balloons and arrangements early helps to ensure they will be ready when you arrive.

Can you accommodate walk-in orders?

Yes, but … We strongly suggest placing your balloon order in advance. Please note that our store can be very busy on Friday and Saturday and you may experience a wait to receive your balloons.  We are closed on Sundays.

What is your cancellation policy?

We politely ask that should you need to change or cancel your balloon orders that you give us 48 hour notice.   We are normally unable to change or cancel an order on the date of pickup.   Any items that have been ordered or created for your event will be charged at full price. You must speak with or receive an email or message confirmation from our staff when changing or canceling an order.

Special order balloons must be prepaid and are subject to a 20% return fee if cancelled before 48 hours.

I bought some balloons somewhere else, can you inflate them for me?

We will only fill Mylar balloons upon inspection and at the discretion of the Party Loft staff.  We will not fill any latex not purchased from the Party Loft.

How can I prevent my balloons from popping?

The simple advice is to treat your balloon order like you would you a baby bunny.

Take all balloon orders out of the bag as soon as possible.  Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold (never leave in a car for extended periods of time), direct sunlight, sharp or hot objects, and textured ceilings. Before releasing a group of balloons to float on the ceiling, release two or three as a test.

It is best to have us as your last stop.  Feel free to order your balloons and come back.

How will the weather affect my balloons?

Float time may be reduced significantly in unusually warm, unusually cool, or very humid environments, and at elevations above 2,500 feet.

What are your balloon safety tips?

Do not breathe helium from a balloon. Helium is not toxic nor flammable, but breathing it can result in asphyxiation (loss of consciousness due to insufficient oxygen). Most of our latex helium balloons are treated with Hi-Float and while it is non-toxic, you don’t want to put it in your lungs either! Do not release mylar or latex balloons containing high float outdoors. Releasing balloons into the environment is littering and Power failures can result if these balloons become entangled in electric lines. Popped latex balloons present a choking hazard for small children and pets. Do not leave small children or pets unaccompanied with balloons.

Are balloons and balloon releases safe for the environment?

As balloon professionals, we have made the decision to limit the release of balloons in an effort to protect the environment from unnecessary litter.  Should you decide to have a balloon release, we will only do this using our latex balloon, without Hi-Float, and using a short cotton string.   We would love to help you find a good alternative to balloon releases that can be easily and responsibly disposed of after your event.
